What is a Turkish mosaic lamp?
A Turkish-style mosaic lamp is a decorative lamp whose shade is built by hand from hundreds of small pieces of colored glass set into a metal frame. When lit, the glass scatters warm, jewel-toned patterns across the room — the signature glow of the Ottoman-inspired mosaic tradition.
Are Mosaic Age lamps handmade?
Yes. Each shade is assembled and grouted by hand from individually cut pieces of glass, so no two lamps are exactly alike — small variations in the pattern are a normal mark of handcraft, not a defect.
Does the lamp come with a bulb?
Yes — every Mosaic Age lamp includes a warm-white LED bulb, so it glows the moment you unbox it. There's nothing extra to buy to get started.
Where do your mosaic lamps come from?
They are Turkish-style / Ottoman-inspired mosaic lamps — crafted in that centuries-old decorative tradition. We ship every order to you from our United States warehouse in 2–5 business days.
Where do you ship from and how long does it take?
All orders ship from the USA and typically arrive within 2–5 business days. You're not waiting weeks for an overseas parcel.
Do mosaic lamps get hot?
No. With the included warm-white LED bulb the lamp stays cool to the touch — LEDs produce very little heat, which also makes them safe around the hand-cut glass.
Is it safe to leave a mosaic lamp on?
Yes, for normal use. The included LED bulb runs at low wattage and low heat. As with any lamp, use it indoors, keep the shade uncovered, and switch it off if you'll be away for a long time.
Is the shade real glass or acrylic?
Real, hand-cut glass — not acrylic. Genuine glass is what creates the deep, layered color scatter; acrylic imitations look flat by comparison.
What bulb does it use, and can I replace it?
It uses a standard screw-in socket and ships with a warm-white LED bulb installed. If you ever replace it, choose a warm-white LED to keep the cozy glow and low heat.
How do I clean and care for my lamp?
Dust the glass gently with a dry, soft brush or microfiber cloth. For smudges, use a barely-damp cloth — never submerge the shade or use harsh chemicals. Handle by the base, not the glass globe.
Will it work outside the United States?
Our lamps are designed for US 110–120V outlets. In other regions you would need a plug adapter and voltage converter, plus a compatible warm-white bulb.
Are mosaic lamps a good gift?
They make a memorable gift — each one arrives ready to glow with the bulb included, packed protectively, and no two are identical. They suit housewarmings, weddings, birthdays and holidays.
What sizes and styles do you offer?
Table and bedside lamps, multi-globe floor lamps, swan-neck and goose-neck designs, round globe lamps and pitcher styles — in a wide range of colors. Browse the collections to find the right scale for your space.
How are the lamps packaged for shipping?
Each lamp is packed protectively to guard the hand-cut glass in transit. If anything arrives damaged, contact us and we'll make it right.
How long will a mosaic lamp last?
The glass shade and metal frame are durable décor pieces meant to last for years of everyday use. The LED bulb also lasts for years and is easily replaceable when it eventually dims.
Can I return my lamp?
Yes — if it isn't right for you, see our return policy for details and timing, or reach out and we'll help.
