The short answer
An at-home workshop kit is a full in-a-box class: the glass globe, pre-cut colored glass, beads, frame, glue, grout, a bulb, and step-by-step guidance. You provide a covered table and ~2–3 hours; the kit provides everything else. It's the same experience as an in-person workshop, on your own schedule, and you can do it solo, as a couple, or as a group.
