You lay the coloured glass onto the globe piece by piece, grout it, wipe it back — and the first time you switch it on, the light coming through is light you made. Assembly is required. This kit does not arrive as a working lamp — you build it. Set aside an unhurried block of time and a table you don't mind getting grout on.
